Jana Spicka and Women Getting Real Ministries
Keynote Speaking
Jana intentionally seeks the Lord before speaking to any group. She wants her heart to be attuned to what God is saying and not come with just a canned speech. To give you an idea of her range and passion here are some areas she has focused on in the past:
The Ezer Woman
Is there more to use than we dared hope for as women? Is there a reason “helper” sounds wimpy instead of empowering? Jana takes scripture from the Old and New Testaments and blows the doors of what it means to be a Warrior Woman in God’s Kingdom. When Jesus came to set the captives free, He also meant half of his Creation in women.
The Unhindered Love of Jesus
We know God as Father, Shepherd, and King, but rarely do we experience Him as Husband and Lover. But Isaiah 54 says just that. This is my invitation through the Word and worship to discover another face of God that truly and completely satisfies us in the process. Finally, Mr. Right has arrived.
For Better, For Worse–Loving Through Sexual Addiction
Porn and adultery is our modern day plague. Everywhere all the time, it lurks, tempts and poisons. Not just our men, but our daughters and sons. And our women. Killing more lives and marriages than we care to admit, rarely is there a success story where sexual addiction is the third party in the bedroom. This raw, candid conversation is about what does NOT work in dealing with a husband’s addiction, but more importantly it is about how God IS “near to the broken hearted.” God does have answers. He does still have the power to heal.
Into Marvelous Light…My Journey to God
This is the grace story of running from “the angry God” by way of sex, abortion, brokenness, numbness, and rage. And then finally running straight into the arms of Perfect Love. Like Snow White was awakened from a sleepless death with a Royal Kiss, so my own heart was awakened and released and healed by the kiss from God. Sometimes you hear a love story that changes you forever.
Free at Last–the Healing of Abortion
There are lots of angles to the conversations about abortion. But one story that cannot be silenced or overlooked is the redemption of the woman who walked through the clinic doors. With startling honesty, Jana talks about the wrenching heartache of the procedure and unexpected aftermath, but she also issues a rally cry to the church to see beyond the baby to the wounded mother. We need more arms of grace before, during and after the scarlet A of abortion.
Called and Enthralled–Marriage, the Image of God
There was an original design that God was up to in the Garden. The man and woman might have blown it, but Jesus restored it. This session is about the beauty and purpose of marriage, its intricate interweaving and how to capture the image of God by celebrating male and female. More than servant leader and submissive beauty, we are called to be co-heirs, co-laborers, co-warriors to advance the Kingdom of God.
After Your Beauty, the Pursuit of Worship
Who knew that God could be so present in worship? Who knew that He made our hips to sway for a holy reason? Jana loves to tell the story of how He wooed her into a deeper personal worship life by way of miscarriage, praying the scripture and inviting her into worship dance.
True Beauty Boot Camp (middle and high school girls)
This multiple session event is loaded with hands on activities, worship and relevant examples of how the world is killing our concept of beauty and how God longs to give us the Ultimate Beauty Makeover.
Making Love for a Lifetime, a Marriage Retreat
Everybody is talking about sex. But what ever happened to Making Love? This tender but pointed multiple session retreat leads couples into greater awareness of how to invest in their marriage. Not for the purpose of sex, but rather intimacy. We all long to be loved and accepted and marriage can be a safe haven if we will discover the heart of our mate. Truly, through Christ, we can make love last for a lifetime.
A Royal Planting
We spend so much time trying to get it right with ourselves, others and
God, we forget what He has said about us. We are a planting of the Lord for the display of His splendor (Isaiah 61). There is a resting in the Lord that is available to us. Just like you don’t see a tree running around striving, but yet it produces in due season, so we can be planted the presence of the Lord. We can thrive and rest knowing that God’s plans for us are sure and unchanging.
Dead Hearts, Pretty Faces
Inside and outside the church, we go to a lot of trouble to put on a happy face, even though our hearts, families, and lives are breaking into pieces.
This is a conversation about walking in real life with God and others. When we stop pretending, we often stop coping. When we stop coping, we often get free. “It is for freedom that Christ has set us free.”
